 In general, you will be expected to:


Behave responsibly at all times and show consideration for others.

Comply with all instructions at all times.

Take responsibility for your own possessions.

Keep all facilities clean, tidy and undamaged.

Abide by all host facility rules and regulations.

Be aware of all emergency procedures.

In the event of an emergency, follow emergency procedure instructions. 

Inform staff of any relevant medical conditions or injuries.

Inform a member of staff of any hazards and report any damaged or unsafe equipment.

Wear appropriate clothing.

Return all borrowed equipment in the same condition in which you received it.

Safeguard personal belongings and borrowed equipment.

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are taken at the student's own risk. They will be confiscated if they are used at inappropriate times, this includes during activities (other than taking photos at the discretion of the instructors) and at meal times.


Staying in the hotel


Read all notices and understand all instructions regarding fire and safety procedures.

Know the location of duty staff.

Listen to any instructions regarding permission to leave the hotel.

Listen to any instructions which limit your access to parts of the hotel

Listen to all instructions regarding access to other people’s bedrooms.

Arrive on time for meals and meetings. 

Understand any restrictions regarding the use of mobile telephones, taking pictures, internet access and viewing videos and DVDs.

Behave responsibly around other tour groups and guests.

Excursions


Remember that traffic is on the other side of the road than expected

Remain in your designated group. 

Know which member of staff is your nominated leader.

Behave in a dignified and respectful manner while out and about.

When unaccompanied by staff, ensure that you understand any instructions and limitations.

Always carry your emergency contact number.

Take your litter with you


Staying Safe while away

If you find yourself in an emergency:

RUN – to a place of safety. This is better than trying to surrender or negotiate.

HIDE – it is better to hide than confront. Barricade yourself in, turn your phone to silent and use only when it is safe to do so.

TELL – Make sure you know the local emergency numbers in the country you are travelling to. For all EU countries call 112.
